December 2004

Les Paul and Jasmine

But it goes to 11!
In the spirit of other peoples Top10 lists for the year I figured I’d make my own. Here it is…

phantom planet s/t
cake - Pressure Chief
Fugazi - End Hits or The Argument (i’m counting this as 1 thing in the list! sue me)
Roots - The Tipping Point
Bad Religion - Empire Strikes First
Velvet Revolver
The Who - Who’s Next
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Shatner - Has Been
Rancid - Indestructable
Weezer - Blue Album Deluxe Edition B-Sides disc

I don’t really have an Order .. and I reserve my right to come back and edit this ;).

Yeah I know some of these didn’t come out this year or this decade even… and in the case of the Who, in the last few decades, but still this is my list of what I was hooked on this year. Though a good few did actually come out in 2004, so i figure thats enough of a bone to throw at ya. Oh, and yes, I can count, there is Eleven. This Top 10 list goes to Eleven!

more reasons i love NASA:

NASA Scientist 1: Hey whats a comet made of under the surface?
NASA Scientist 2: I dunno, lets just chuck a big rock at it and see how big the hole is and what breaks off.
NASA Scientist 1: I’m so on-board with this plan, HIGH FIVE!
[high five between the scientists]

Thats my simulation of how this idea was formed lol.

Reallly i’m not exactly sure what i want to write right now. Its kind of novel that i can form most any sentence at all. Yeah this took me a minute, to even get to this point. Roar. Love to everybody reading my blog at the moment. You all rock. I”m glad you find the time to read about the random stuff that i feel like writing about on my website, and you actually think its interesting. YOu all rock. Thanks.

-mike Drunk…

Wow uhm i really have been few and far between on posts lately. Least i feel. i’ll be back in full force sometime soon… Focusing on a few other things at the moment.

small update:

I made my “So sweet your eyes will bleed” rice krispie treats for my office holiday eat-in party that happened today. Man those things are good. They were a hot commodity at the party. So i’m happy i can make something good people want. I have made them once before. You may remember the rice krispie treats I made for Mat’s Election Day potluck. Yes these are the same treats choc full of M&M’s.

Other stuff. Hmm i have a party to go to tommorrow at Jason’s place. Should be a fun time. I’m going to make Rice Krispie treats again, sans M&M’s, just for a little change.

New year is coming quick. Lets see whats gonna happen!

Ok i lost this post the first time. Lets try it again.

So today I’m finally fighting back this cold I’ve had since friday. I’m stilly a bit phlegmy and have some what of a runny nose, but I definately feel like 100 percent better. At around noon today I felt like a big weight of cold induced haze had been lifted from me. While i still have a little itch in my throat that is keeping a cough for me, the symptoms are definatley dwindling. My immune system has cornered the cold and is moving in for the kill. It all started in the early afternoon on friday. It was one of those situations where you all of the sudden have a little scratch in your throat or a loose just a tiny bit of equalibrium and you go “Oh crap! I’m gonna be sick”. I mean I was feeling great on friday morning, and I had been feeling really good for a while, as far as my health goes. Then it just hits ya, and you’re not really feeling bad right then, but you know you will be by tommorrow. By the time i got home from work on friday it had already hit me. I made the gametime decision not to go to my friend/co-workers promotion party that was friday night. It looked like it was going to be a good time, but I realized with drinking and partying and staying up late (probably not coming home till the next day) I definately wouldn’t have been going any where on saturday, and I would have been a lot worse off than I actually ended up being this weekend. PLUS, of anyting I was doing this past weekend I wanted to keep my plans for Saturday night, and I wanted to be healthy (at least enough to go out) for that. Saturday I was going to see Mat and Eric’s band “Communist Bakesale” play a show. I really wanted to see them play, plus i had good company for the show, who would be going with me. So my staying in friday night worked out, and I slept most of saturday, until the show. I was pretty healthy for the show. I had a really good time, I think everybody did. The band plays Jam Rock type music. Its was pretty cool. I always like seeing people who are friends of mine, play really good music, it inspires me. All the guys in the band seem to be good musiciansand they really play well together too. Its really cool that I know people with such talent. Makes me think sometime I’ll be able to throw some of my own talents into that arena. We’ll see.
