Ok i lost this post the first time. Lets try it again.

So today I’m finally fighting back this cold I’ve had since friday. I’m stilly a bit phlegmy and have some what of a runny nose, but I definately feel like 100 percent better. At around noon today I felt like a big weight of cold induced haze had been lifted from me. While i still have a little itch in my throat that is keeping a cough for me, the symptoms are definatley dwindling. My immune system has cornered the cold and is moving in for the kill. It all started in the early afternoon on friday. It was one of those situations where you all of the sudden have a little scratch in your throat or a loose just a tiny bit of equalibrium and you go “Oh crap! I’m gonna be sick”. I mean I was feeling great on friday morning, and I had been feeling really good for a while, as far as my health goes. Then it just hits ya, and you’re not really feeling bad right then, but you know you will be by tommorrow. By the time i got home from work on friday it had already hit me. I made the gametime decision not to go to my friend/co-workers promotion party that was friday night. It looked like it was going to be a good time, but I realized with drinking and partying and staying up late (probably not coming home till the next day) I definately wouldn’t have been going any where on saturday, and I would have been a lot worse off than I actually ended up being this weekend. PLUS, of anyting I was doing this past weekend I wanted to keep my plans for Saturday night, and I wanted to be healthy (at least enough to go out) for that. Saturday I was going to see Mat and Eric’s band “Communist Bakesale” play a show. I really wanted to see them play, plus i had good company for the show, who would be going with me. So my staying in friday night worked out, and I slept most of saturday, until the show. I was pretty healthy for the show. I had a really good time, I think everybody did. The band plays Jam Rock type music. Its was pretty cool. I always like seeing people who are friends of mine, play really good music, it inspires me. All the guys in the band seem to be good musiciansand they really play well together too. Its really cool that I know people with such talent. Makes me think sometime I’ll be able to throw some of my own talents into that arena. We’ll see.

Down here in San Antonio, we swear by Vics vapor rub! Just rub some of that on and wrap yourself up! Try that next time you start to feel the cold coming on!
And if you are going to drink your orange juice with the chaser of gin and tonic, make sure you have a slice of lime in there…all that vitamin C also helps.
