So all the current console gaming news is pointing to these puppies. Should be interesting. I’m wondering which I’ll get. I think i may just stay loyal to the XBOX and upgrade my XBOX to the new one when it comes out. Its got a lot of cool features that I wouldn’t mind having. More mainly even for the media playing abilities than just the game playing abilities. I use my XBOX mainly as a DVD player right now, and it does a really good job of it. Should be interesting what else gets unveiled for these two emerging new console game systems.

Here’s some links.

A Comparing Blog entries from the guy at Anandtech

rocky!CD’s i want to buy…
tortoise – millions now living will never die
shellac – at action park
Weezer – Make Believe

Got a Call from…
my sister-in-law, Melissa, saying that they have an ultra-sound picture they’re going to send out and that the doctor visit showed that everything is going fine. woohoo.

Got out and Played…
racquetball with Laurie last night. I realized how much i miss playing that regularly. So hopefully now that we know a good place to play we’ll be able to get out and play regularly. (was her second time playing .. she did great! Had me actually run around pretty hard to return stuff)

I just ate…
chicken fingers for lunch

I am listening too…
The sound of the light blow of the A/C in my office. But in my head i have music going ( i should have brought my CD’s in with me to my office)

Tonight I am…
going to play volleyball i think, even though boehms giving his knee another week of rest.

This coming weekend…
is busy, but good busy. All should be fun.

armI’m sore today. I ran my yearly fitness test yesterday, then i went to play some volleyball for about 2.5 hours directly after my test. Wow that was a challenge. My legs just didn’t want to move me anywhere quickly at all lol. Otherwise than that though, I’m feeling pretty good, so it doesn’t bother me that I’m sore hah.

On other notes, I need to remember to e-mail Mat some photos today… and also i need to scan more of my rolls of film, I’ve got quite a few to go like 30 pictures lol. must find time!

Still need to go look and play with some digital cameras that I’m looking at getting.

Also, the 14.99 i spent on MLB.com’s gameday audio Internet broadcast service is probably the best 15 bucks I’ve spent in a long time. I can sit anywhere that I have an Internet connection and speakers and listen to any baseball game live that is going on, whether it be the home feed or the away feed. So basically i don’t have to miss any Phillies games as long as I’m at home or at work :). Also just for something to listen to i can listen to random other baseball games for teams i have some sort of want to listen to. So worth it. You can also listen to archives of games if you’re so inclined, though I think I’m mainly going to use it for live games, it rocks.

ciao

Poll stolen from Mat

1. What School did u attend?
Sun Valley in Delaware County PA

2. What year was it?
1996-1997

3. What were your favorite band(s) or artist(s)?
Reel Big Fish, Cake, Squirrel Nut Zippers (I just remember hearing Hell on the radio and going woah, what is this, thats just so freakin different from anything else I’ve heard on modern rock radio yet, I listened to the morning radio show for about a week or so before I actually caught the song’s name and who did it.)

4. What was your favorite outfit?
khakis and some shirt. I really don’t remember.

5. What was up with your hair?
Sorta half long, with a part. Once i started driving i realized hair blowing in my face annoyed the hell out of me ;) .. so that got cut relatively short eventually.

6. Who was your best friend(s)?
Spent most of my time hanging with Dan, Chris, Kurt, and John and some others who phased in and out.

7. What did you do after school?
A/V Club, Wrestling, Stage Crew.

8. Where did you work?
Giant Food store, for some time .. i really don’t exactly remember how long i worked there, it wasn’t much.

9. Did you take the bus?
Got my license a couple months into the first semester, so after that i drove, the hunchback (1985 Toyota corolla hatchback)

10. Who did you have a crush on?
Too many girls who didn’t think the same about me.

11. Did you have a girlfriend/boyfriend and who?
Nope

12. Did you fight with your parents?
Probably, nothing major though.

13. Did you ever get detention?
Nope, maybe once.. who knows. I was after school for other things anyways…

14. Favorite Subject?
History maybe. I just got through most everything not hating it, not liking it all. I had a BASIC programming course once, that was great, cause i already had taught myself most of what I could learn in that class.

16. Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
I have no idea, quite honestly.

17. Did you smoke cigarettes?
Nope, didn’t have an interest in the least.

18. Where was your Senior Prom held?
Some Radisson hotel…

19. Did you have a “Max” (hangout) like Zach, Kelly & slater?
Does a pagoda on the Neumann college campus count? We’d hang out there and BS about just about any topic from philosophy to science to games. Kicked out by campus security many times for just sitting there doing nothing but hanging out.

20. Admit it, were you popular?
Hah, i didn’t even think anybody besides my group of friends, realized i existed.

21. Who did you want to be just like?
I don’t think I had an Idol.

22. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A scientist.

23. Where did you think you’d be at the age you are now?
In some ways I’m exactly where i was thinking. In others ways its totally not the case.

Well its Friday. The week is over. Its been a relatively uneventful week. I’m glad, i didn’t have much planned, but then again i didn’t want much planned. I watched a bit of baseball, and I’ve been really debating some new technology to buy. The choice is between XM and their new hand held XM radio that you can just tote around with you OR an IPOD. They both bring different functionality for me, which I’ve debated and talked with friends about the pros and cons of getting either one. No need to get too much into that here, basically its a choice between convenience (of carrying around my whole CD collection on my hip) or getting something that has added capabilities (i.e. XM w/ being able to listen to Any MLB baseball game for any team when its on, and the other stations it has). I’ve pretty much decided on XM, because the IPOD would be cool, but right now i want more baseball and I want to listen to the Phillies, and toting around CD’s seems to work well for me currently so no reason to change that. I’m going to let the idea sit for a little while though, just to make sure I really feel like spending money at all.

This Saturday evening is the return of Karaoke Craziness!!! at the Merritt House in Dundalk, MD (if you don’t know about this but want to come leave me a note or give me a call or something). Heather et’all and I are going back to the place we went before and we’re bringing even more of a posse with us. We’re ready to rock the house with some more fun music being sung under the influence of probably too many rum and cokes or gin and tonics(in my case). With that in mind, I’ve been thinking about what I want to do. The return of Hell by SNZ is in order, cause i just love that song and its fun to sing. I think I’ll do Rocky Raccoon from the Beatles if they have it. I previously was thinking Obla Dibla Dah, but this morning I listened to the White Album on my way to work, and I just realized Rocky Raccoon is just too cool, and it had slipped my mind. Who knows maybe both will come up, though I think I’ll try and con somebody else into doing Obla Dibla Dah with me if I do it. As for the rest I was plotting possibly doing the B-52′s Love Shack, or even some Talking Heads. We’ll see what happens. I really have no idea how to sound like the guy from the B-52s so i need to go home today and listen to that song a few times so i can get it right ;). Who knows this could all change when we get there and I think of something totally different.

Oh one more note. I’m hitting some newly opened Vinyl store somewhere in b-more with Jason this weekend. Here’s hoping for some more plastic goodness to add to my collection ;). That reminds me I should think about what sorta stuff I want to look for.

As for the rest of the weekend, i really don’t have much planned, talk to me if you got ideas.

It was pretty busy this past weekend. I was at Mat and Eric’s show on Saturday (thanks to Heather, Jamie, Boehm, and Erin whom i conned into going with me). Of which afterwords there was some mean rounds of tetris attack played. Then I was taking pictures down in DC for the cherry blossom festival, with Heather, on Sunday, of which it was sooooo freakin’ windy that day, but at least no rain (and ended up being pretty fun despite the wind). It seemed anytime we got closer to a destination the wind hit us harder. Pictures will be incoming (must get developed). Then I went to the Orioles opener on Monday afternoon to see them win against the Oakland A’s. Everything was great. I had a lot of fun on all accounts. I think this weekend I may take it a little slower (though i may be going down to DC to see Mat and Eric play again on Friday). Maybe I’ll head up to Philly on Saturday, not sure.

Really this blog post is just been a kind of random smattering of things so far… and will continue to be.

So what am i thinking about right now? I think I want lunch. Also, i gotta remember to bring stuff home with me that I need for my trip to Jersey for work tomorrow and Thursday. Work trip should be interesting in the least I think. So I guess my week is pretty busy, not all fun, but at least not boring.

I could go into more details about my weekend, but for some reason I’m just not feeling like spending the time to write out the hour by hour account this week ;). It was enough that I did that for the Easter weekend last week, so I’ll just leave you guessing. Unless you were actually out with me for some of this stuff, then you already know :-P.

All i feel like saying is Saturday, I lost my voice, i was talking a lot.. and I’m still getting over a cold induced by allergies, which was probably the reason i lost my voice (don’t even think my voice is fully recovered yet).

Also yay, the Phillies won their opener :) and so did the Orioles. I have high hopes for the Phillies this year. They’re actually making me go back on my vow to hate baseball after last season.

This is my new background for my computer at home and work (thanks boehm for the link):

chomp! Chomp!I’ve noticed lately that I really haven’t been fullfilling the graphical nature of my weblog. I really like having some sort of appropriate graphic to go along with my blog posts. Lately though I kind of have been forgetting that. Partly because some posts I’ll write up during work or some other time when i don’t feel like rooting around for pictures (and or can’t go doing uploads and other sorts of stuff while I’m doing the post). So i usually say oh well i’ll find something later today and slap it on the heading or something. That “later today” thing hasn’t been happening lately.. and then before I know it .. i have something else to write about, and again forget to put some sort of graphic with it.

So i’m taking a cheap way out for this post. just to get the ball rolling, and I’m using a pic i have from my imagery gallery thumbnails.

I got this poll from a few places (mat and melissa, so i figued I’d post it just to be cool):

1. Been in Saudi Arabia working in an Ops Center .. watching military actions live through a slew of different communications/information links.

2. Performed a puppet show for a high school english class that involved a punching nun puppet and a godzilla doll fighting. The godzilla doll really did breath actual fire; inside my high school auditorium; teacher was present; we got an A.

3. Walked on a beach on the great lakes where my footprints were the only ones in the sand.

4. Got an A- on a paper wrote for a high level History course on the Southern states leading up to the Civil war, all within the confines of an NHL Hockey, Flyers playoff game. (all be-it this game was the 3rd longest game in history, with 5 overtimes). All the time doing shots every so often with a classmate doing the same thing for the same class. He got a B.

5. Drove directly through a herd of Bison on a dirt road.

6. Driven from the northern border of the US to the Gulf Coast and back more than once, and also driven half way across the country multiple times.

7. Self declared Nintendo Ice Hockey and Super Dodge Ball champion of Andorn Apts, Widener University.

8. swam on the floor (alchohol was involved)

9. Gave bunny ears to Mike Doughty when i had a picture taken with him at one of his solo shows.

10. I’m an Eagle Scout.

Eagles in the Superbowl!!

Well its the big day. Super Bowl baby. the Eagles are in it. Lets see how this thing turns out.
